Hello, world!

Posted by hs on November 27, 2005

pro·cras·ti·nate v.intr.

To put off doing something, especially out of habitual carelessness or laziness.

pro·cras’ti·na’tion n.

That pretty much sums up the raison d’être of this blog (or web log, for purists). On a closer inspection, this is procrastination with a twist – it delivers something: the blog you are reading now!

It is really an example of what has been termed structured procrastination by John Perry – procastination actually driving some tasks.

Anyways, suffices to say that this blog has been an effort terribly overdue, and whose time seems to have come for now. I’d try and keep this as updated as I can (atleast better than my last few endaevours). The coverage is largely going to be eclectic – rant, technology, good-for-nothing, personal computing – whatever catches my fancy. You, the reader, are welcome to make suggestions and comments, but please remember the #1 maxim in Blogging 101 – this is my blog and I shall post as I please; if you like it, most welcome to drop back, say a few nice or critical words, but do not try to dictate – close the browser window, or better yet, set up a blog of your own.
